Service Description
A counselling intake assessment involves getting to know you & your personal needs (how I can help you). We meet for a 75-minute session to complete the important & necessary documents prior to booking in your future counselling appointments. If you have a GP referral, please bring it along with you. It is not an essential requirement to attend Counselling, however it does help me gain a better understanding & knowledge of your personal health history, relevant to counselling. We will cover topics such as your demographics, privacy & consent, delivery of service, & other essential forms to assess your current state of mental health & wellbeing. Future appointments can be booked & policies/terms & conditions covered. The fee for your initial intake assessment is $85. Unfortunately, Counselling services are NOT eligible for Medicare rebates, as registered Counsellors are not included under the current Medicare Scheme. Due to this fact, I endeavor to keep costs at a minimum & affordable for you. After your initial intake assessment, you will be charged $85 per appointment, moving forward.
Cancellation Policy
I understand unexpected things can occur out of the blue which are out of our control. If you know you have something happening ahead of time, I would greatly appreciate if you could give me a heads up so we can reschedule your appointment. To cancel or reschedule, please contact me at least 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. If you fail to show up for your appointment without notice, a fee may be incurred &/or future appointments cancelled. Many thanks for your understanding & cooperation.
